“How to combat criminal activity without harming the economy?”
Port Atlantique Nantes Saint-Nazaire and the Ecole Nationale de la Marine Marchande (French merchant navy academy) in Nantes have decided to bring together professional operators and experts from around the world to discuss this extremely topical subject, of worldwide significance.
The 3rd International Conference on Maritime and Port Security will take place in Nantes on 22-23 October 2009. The programme of this essential event features both plenary sessions and round-table discussions, notably focusing on piracy and on how to ensure the safety of ships and ports.

CITTA' D'ACQUA AL WATERFRONT EXPO 2008 DI LIVERPOOL
1 agosto 2008 - Il Centro Città d'Acqua partecipa anche quest'anno al WaterfrontExpo 2008 che si terrà a Liverpool, Capitale Europea della Cultura 2008, dal 3 al 5 novembre 2008. Giunta alla sesta edizione, WaterfrontExpo è la conferenza ed esposizione che ogni anno fa il punto sui progetti e realizzazioni più interessanti al mondo relativi alle aree di waterfront. Il tema sviluppato nella conferenza di quest'anno è 'Connecting people with the waterfront' e presenterà 11 casi studio tra cui San Francisco, Shanghai, Belfast, Belgrado, Brisbane, Irvine Bay, La Spezia, Liverpool, Margate e Puerto Rico. Città d'Acqua sarà presente con uno stand espositivo ospitato nell'Arena and Convention Centre di Liverpool. La presenza dell'Italia è ancora molto scarsa in questa importante manifestazione che riunisce il mondo del Real Estate e diversi operatori che intervengono sul fronte d'acqua a livello internazionale; vi invitiamo quindi a considerare la possibilità di esserci con uno stand espositivo.
